Abstract
The magnetic properties of some Co- and Fe- based amorphous metallic alloys at
ductile-brittle transition after annealing are presented and discussed. It was found that the temperature
dependences of magnetization of annealed samples qualitatively coincide with those of as-quenched ones, but
the Curie temperature values Tc are rising. Therewith, from the temperature dependences of magnetic
susceptibility X(T) within the paramagnetic region for the investigated ribbons it is followed that value
of the mean effective moment per alloy atom μ is rising with annealing temperature Ta.
Such behaviour of Ta and μ is connected with chemical short-range ordering changes and
formation of the microinhomogeneities in subsurface layers with amorphous structure enriched with
transition metal atoms in comparison with as-quenched ribbons.
