Abstract
The preparation of charge-transfer (CT) salts of DODHT
[(1,4-dioxane-2,3-diyldithio) dihydrotetrathia-fulvalene], BDH-TTP
[2,5-bis(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene] and BDA-TTP
[2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene] has been
investigated to develop new organic superconductors. The DODHT and BDA-TTP
donors give organic superconductors (DODHT)
2BF
H
2O
and (BDA-TTP)
2X (X = GaCl
4 and FeCl
4) under applied
pressures, whereas (BDH-TTP)Br
0.88 and (BDA-TTF)
2X (X = BF
4,
BF
H
2O and ClO
4) fail to exhibit superconductivity at
ambient pressure.
Key words. Organic superconductor -
-electron donor -
-bond framework - loose donor packing motif.
