Abstract
The new pyrrolo[3,4-d]-TTF building blocks offers
considerable scope as versatile building blocks for applications in
macrocyclic, molecular, and supramolecular chemistry. Exemplified here by a
receptor, such as the TTF-calix[4]pyrrole. The starting 2,5-unsubstituted
pyrrolo-TTF can also be used for preparation of tetra- or mono TTF-annelated
porphyrins.
Key words. Tetrathiafulvalene - TTF - supramolecular systems -
host guest interactions - anion complexation -
pyrrolo[3,4-]tetrathiafulvalene - calix[4]pyrrole - tetrathiafulvalene
annelated porphyrins.
