Abstract
In this paper a series of experimental piezoelectric spectra of different Zn $_{1 - {\rm x} - {\rm y}}$Be$_{\rm x}$Mn$_{\rm y}$Se crystals are presented and discussed. Two groups of samples of these crystals exhibiting different composition with different surface treatment: grinded, polished and etched were prepared. The influence of a different surface treatment on piezoelectric amplitude spectra is presented and discussed in the model of an inactive layer.
