Abstract
Recent experiments on coherent interlayer tunneling in Charge Density Wave
materials can be interpreted as direct observation of microscopic solitons in
single electronic processes. Tunneling of electrons can go through the channel
of solitons which are more favorable quantum particles than electrons. These
solitons might correspond to the well searched special quasiparticle - the
spinon. We shall summarize the necessary elements of theory in conjunction with
both new experiments and earlier available data.
