Abstract
The present communication focuses on a numerical and experimental study of the influence of stress concentration on the overall
SMA behavior in case of low cycle actuation, more particularly on the recovery stress generation. The results obtained using
commercial ANSYS FEM software are compared with experimental recovery stress data registered upon heating of constrained NiTi
ribbon specimens with stress raisers of different geometry.
