Abstract
There are presented the results of technical investigations on means of enhancing the reliability of pipeline welds, developed
on the basis of shape-memory devices. A method of relieving the weld tensile stress using strengtheners in the form of shape-memory
split ring is proposed. The stress-strain analysis of a weld with a shape-memory strengtheners is carried out. Shape-memory
split ring strengtheners have been developed.
