Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the emission and deposition of trace metals released by road traffic in the
Aspe Valley in the french Pyrenees mountains. Sampling and analytical procedure have been developed for Li, Mg, V, Cr, Mn,
Cu, Zn, Rb, Cd, Sn, Sb, Ba, Ce and Pb analyses were perfonned on certified reference materials to validate the measurement
with Q-ICP-MS and HR-ICP-MS. The determination of Pb isotopic ratio was also validated on NIST SRM981. Aerosol,
snow, rainwater and lichens samples were collected with ultra-clean conditions during winter 2001 and summer 2002.
Preliminay results are presented for lichen and snow samples.
