Abstract
Rh, Pd and Pt concentrations in aerosol samples were monitored for one year in a high trafficked
sampling site in Mestre (Venice). Samples were taken with a PM
10 collector for 24 h onto a mixed cellulose ester
filter and analysed by ICP-SFMS. A desolvating system was used for sample introduction and the contribution of
interfering species was determined. The concentration ranges of Rh, Pd and Pt were 3.9-27.5, 0-370 and 0.19-7. 16 pg/m
3, respectively. Good correlation could be observed between the concentrations of Rh and Pt, Rh and Ce as well
as Rh and Pb.
