Résumé
We realize a two-frequency Nd
3+:YAG laser passively Q-switched by Cr
4+:YAG giving a beat note continuously tunable in the GHz range. Second harmonic generation at 532 nm is obtained by using a
PP-KTP crystal. This beat note in the visible range is interesting for many applications. For example, we observe the microwave
generation in a GaAs photo-switch.
