Shear strength of aluminum and copper at shockless compression

Abstract
Tests were carried out to determine the dynamic yield strength of AD-1-type aluminum and M-1-type copper under shockless loading by the method of principal stresses. The results obtained show an increase of the yield strength under shockless loading in comparison to shock loading.
