Dynamics of driven vortex lattices

Abstract
We study the motion of a system of coupled particles driven by an external field over a substrate with random pinning interactions. The dynamics at the sliding phase near the depinning transition field Ec is characterized by strong deformations and a broad distribution of particle velocities. The theory provides fresh understanding of recent experiments on driven flux lattices.
