Abstract
A simulation program for calculating the wall temperatures of absorber tubes of parabolic trough collectors with direct steam generation (DSG) has been developed, based on experimental results. This program is used to calculate the maximum azimuthal temperature differences in absorber tubes for different concepts and parameter combinations of DSG. It is shown that the azimuthal temperature differences stay below critical values, if design and flow parameters are chosen properly.
