Abstract
The phenomenon of ductile-brittle transition of melt-quenched iron-based amorphous alloys that occurs at room temperature after appropriate heat treatment is considered. A structural model founded on the relaxation growth of microdiscontinuities which initiate microcracks under external stresses is suggested.
