Abstract
The effect of the residual quenching stresses on the magnetization distribution in amorphous wire with positive magnetostriction is studied. The estimations are given for a specific energy and a width of a domain wall separating a core and a shell region of the wire. The equilibrium period of the radial domain structure as well as the inner core radius are determined as a function of the average anisotropy constant of the wire.
