Abstract
Magnetic response of amorphous wires with different magnetostriciton constant under the effect of time-dependent tensile stresses of different shape has been systematically studied. The observed effect is explained as a consequence of the reversible changes of the domain structure under the effect of applied stresses. An application of this mechano-magnetic effect is employed for identification of signature.
