Characterization of domain walls and magnetization properties by non conventional loss measurements

Abstract
The Pry and Bean model of losses in a conducting sheet of magnetic material is extended to asymetric minor loops. An analytical expression is derived for the energy dissipation in terms of the average induction and amplitude of loops. By comparing the calculated loss to the experimental loss in a GO FeSi sheet, we find the period of domains as a function of the induction level. It is found that the domain structure undergoes drastic changes above 1.25 Tesla.
