Abstract
A theoretical approach of various magneto-X-ray effects (Faraday rotation, resonant magnetic X-ray scattering a well as magnetic circular dichroism) based on spin- and orbital-polarized relativistic multiple scattering theory, is outlined. The results of this approach applied to bcc Fe K and L2, 3 edges are compared with experiments. It is found that the orbital-polarization (correction) only slighdy affects the L2, 3 edge Faraday rotation and resonant magnetic X-ray scattering although it significantly increases the orbital moment and the magnitude of the K edge magneto-X-ray spectra.
