MID IR DIODE LASERS : STATE OF THE ART

Abstract
A review of present mid IR diode laser achievements shows remarkable progress. cw operation temperatures above 77 K are possible now on a routine basis. Some MHz linewidth of free running lasers, good stability and single mode operation have been achieved at least with laboratory prototypes.
