Abstract
The NMR parameters which should be measured in order to obtain microscopic information about Martensitic Phase Transformations are briefly discussed. Recent results of 27Al and 63 CU NMR are presented for both ternary alloy Cu-Zn-Al and binary alloys Cu-Zn and Ni-Al. It is shown that the NMR spectrum allows the study of the coexistence of martensite and austenite in the thermoelastic equilibrium range between MS and MF and that the nuclear spin lattice relaxation rate can detect charge density fluctuations at the "soft" interface between the A-phase and the M-phase.
