Abstract
The effect of sintering temperature on the dynamic behaviour of iron powder compacts is investigated. Iron compacts were subjected to strain rates of up to 10+4 per second. The compacts were sintered at temperatures ranging from 900 to 1200°C. Tests were also carried out on solid mild steel specimens at similar range of strain rates.
