Abstract
lu thé range of shearing rate from 10 -2/s to 10 -4/s, it was experimentally verified that the transient dynamic response of the fluid could be detected by the new split Hopkinson pressure bar method and the dynamic behavior of fluid materials would be characterized even at high rate of shearing. The viscosity was identified to be rate dependent in the high shearing rate region and was decreased with an increase of shearing rate in the fluid material we used.
