Abstract
The investigations of building ceramic and silicate bricks and ceramic materials, as well as, concrete based on zirconium
dioxide ZrO
2 were performed both at static and dynamic strain rates in compression. For static tests the standard hydraulic testing machine
was used. The Kolsky method that uses the split Hopkinson pressure bar is one of the most developed and widespread procedures
for dynamic testing of materials at high strain rates. This experimental method was used to study the dynamic properties of
tested materials.
