Scale transition from single glide bands to macroscopic deformation

Abstract
By analyzing the spectrum of sources inducing surface nucleation of a glide bands and on the basis of the averaged one-band contribution to deformation of a crystal, the scale transition is realized from the mesoscopic level (glide bands) to the macroscopic one. A model based on this approach is proposed to describe the macroscopic stress-strain curve "σ-ε" of a crystal.
