Abstract
Radiation damping effect in dielectronic recombination of Al XI is analysed by applying the ab initio, fully nonperturbative R-matrix Floquet theory and its extension to laser induced degenerate states phenomenon. Our basic approach is to consider the reverse process, which corresponds to the resonant single-photon ionisation of the stable singly-excited states. The autoionizing and excited Rydberg states of the complex ion which are resonantly coupled by the radiation field are characterized in a Floquet approach by complex quasienergies. By varying the intensity and frequency of the field, the radiative decay and the electron collision processes are treated consistently when the radiation field is considered to all orders.
