Abstract
We propose a theoretical model of guiding of intense laser pulses in discharge plasmas, which are irradiated with the laser light to maintain the population inversion in these plasmas. Preforming the stagnation plasma phase by Z-pinch discharge, we irradiate the plasma with an intense laser pulse. The dynamics of the laser irradiation plasmas is described using the wave equation, the coupled rate equation and the plasma hydrodynamic equations. The present theoretical model will be able to apply to Ne-like Ar soft x-ray -laser repetition amplification.
