Abstract
The purpose of the present investigation is to search for the ferromagnetic thin films with high saturation magnetization and low coercive force. Thin films of evaporated FeCo, 2000-3000 Å thick, normally exhibit coercivities of 70-100 oersteds, depending on experimental conditions. The interesting phenomenon, that the coercive force of the FeCoV thin films sandwiched between very thin FeNiMo films (quantity of FeNiMo film is about 1.3% at the volume rate) becomes less than 1/10 of coercive force of FeCoV single layer films, has been found. In this paper, the magnetic properties and domain structures of FeNiMo/FeCoV/FeNiMo three-layers and FeCoV single Layer films will be discussed.
