Abstract
Titanium aluminides are good candidates for aeronautical applications, but their low ductility penalizes these alloys. The present work deals with the texture characterization that influences mechanical properties. The texture is a {111}>uvw> fiber texture, the sharpness of which increases with the temperature of heat treatments. γ monolithic grains have also the same texture.
