Abstract
The aim of this study is to realize a numerical model, able to predict the level of the noise radiated by a turbulent zone created by a singularity set in a circular duct. In spite of good results, the direct methods which solve the instantaneous equations of fluid mechanic cannot be used in industrial environment. Our method, based on the classical results of fluid mechanics obtained with average data and coupled with the theory of Lightill gives good results, in this first study, on the circular diaphragm.
