Abstract
The photobaric component of the photoacoustic effect on leaves is calculated in time domain using the method of Laplace transformation. The contribution of photosynthetically evolved oxygen to the signal is assumed to be characterized by a rate constant for the formation of oxygen, the duration of the light pulse and diffusion constant of the mesophyll cells. The uptake of oxygen or carbondioxid by leaves also is considered. Experimental data can be interpreted fairly well with our model.
