Abstract
The main phase-transition-temperatures of cholesteryl nonanoate, cholesteryl oleyl carbonate and their mixtures were determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry; phase identification was performed by Polarizing Light Microscopy. The results were compared to the ones obtained by Modulated Optical Transmission and Thermal Lens Spectroscopy; this last technique also allowed the determination of the sample thermal diffusivity as a function of temperature.
