Abstract
A modeling of the evolution of austenite texture is presented in case of phase transformation in
304 AISI steel occurring during a tensile test at - 6°C. The computed textures agree well with those measured experimentally
by X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffraction also enables to analyze stress distribution in both phases of this steel. First trend
shows that Martensite is in compression and austenite is in tension after unloading.
