Photoacoustic study of Cd 1-x-yBe xMn yTe mixed crystals

Abstract
Quaternary diluted niagnetic semiconductors Cd 1-x-yBe xMn yTe obtained by Bridgman method for x=0.01 and $0\leq y\leq 0.15$ were investigated. The photoacoustic spectroscopy with a piezoelectric transducer was employed to evaluate the energy gaps of Cd 1-x-yBe xMn yTe bulk mixed crystals at room temperature. The increase of the energy gap with increasing x value has been observed. Characteristic features of amplitude and phase photoacoustic spectra were discussed.
