Abstract
The processes of initiation and dynamics of electroexplosions of copper, tungsten
wires as well as hydrocarbon fibers and graphite needles were numerically investigated by
using different computer codes with taken into account the thermophysical, optical and
electrophysical properties of real matters (including states of strongly coupled plasmas). The
most interesting case is the case of electroexplosion of tungsten in connection with the new
possible scheme of plasma gamma-ray laser creation. It is shown that the main plasma
parameters of such plasma torches is very close to that which are needed for this object.
