Abstract
This novel analyzer consists of one endcap electrode and a half of a ring electrode with geometrical parameter r0=0.2z0. Ions were injected into the working volume of the analyzer through a hole in the ring electrode just before sorting process and at the end of which the sorted ions were ejected toward a detector. A sorting region along the z coordinate within the analyzer is limited by the value of z>0. A r.f. field forces ions to make unipolar oscillatory movements z(t)> 0 in this region. A square wave r.f. signal and a phase injection of ions are used
