Abstract
The experimental dynamic tensile stress-strain curves and the relation of the critical strain ε, of plastic instability and the plastic work Wi at the maximum load-onset of instability are provided for 93wt.% tungsten alloy, and a modified constitutive equation was constructed which can represent excellently the strain-hardening, strain rate-hardening and the thermal softening effects of the alloy. Except that, the fractal analysis to the tensile fractures was made which gives a strong support to the conclusions obtained from the macro-experimental results.
