Stress-Induced Transformation and Superelasticity in Ni-Ti-Nb Alloys

The present study reveals some new aspects of stress-induced martensitic transformation in a Ni47Ti44Nb9 alloy, with focus on the wide-window superelasticity. The mechanism and potential applications of the wide-window superelasticity will be discussed in light of other well known shape memory alloys.
