Abstract
We experiment the dispersive A Scholte wave propagating along an immersed or semi-immersed plate (in this case, a rectangular box filled with air). In both experiments the A wave is generated by longitudinal wave propagating in liquid and stricking an edge of the object. We verify the dispersion of the A wave when the product frequency.thickness is greater than 0.2 MHz.mm. We note that this wave is diffracted and converted in Lamb waves (A0, S0, A1 for low values of frequency) at the end of the plate or at the corner of the box.
