Abstract
The results of studying the interaction of the excimer laser UV radiation and the eye cornea are discussed. A KrCl excimer laser (223 nm) is proposed for corneal microsurgery. Ophthalmic devices have been designed to correct myopia and hyperopia and to treat Herpes Simplex keratitis, corneal ulcers and glaucoma.
