Abstract
Thermodynamic properties of the Ga 20.33-Mn 28.73-Ni 50.94 alloy were studied using thermodynamic calculations and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) measurements. The Ga 20.33-Mn 28.73-Ni 50.94 alloy had two step martensite $\rightarrow$ austenite transformation at T = 343... 413 K. Measurements were carried out using two heating rates, 0.2 and 1.0 K/min. Calculated transformation temperatures with constant gallium amount, ${\rm Ga} = 20.33$ at%, were compared to experimental results at the same composition. Transformation energies and phase transformation temperatures obtained were -7.92 J/g at 0.2 K/min and -9.80 J/g at 1.0 K/min.
