Abstract
Results reported in [1-3] demonstrate the opportunity to qualitatively describe deformation processes caused by the shape
memory effect within the framework of the theoretical approach
called Residual Stresses Mechanism (RSM). In particular, RSM makes it possible to explain the
effect of reversible shape memory. The methodology for constructing mathematical models in the limits ofRSM is considered
in section t below. Example ofthe model is used as a base for computer simulations. Results are discussed from the point of
view of predicting the behavior of constructions made of SME materials and optimizing their parameters.
