Aluminum agglomeration in composite solid propellants combustion

The model of metal agglomeration in CSP combustion has been developed. The Monte Carlo (MC) method for simulation of aluminum agglomeration is considered. The investigation of different agglomeration mechanisms by the MC method has been fulfilled. It is demonstrated, that agglomerates spectra, calculated by the MC method are polymodal, which correlates to experimental data of many researchers. It is shown that the developed model allows determination of the dependence of agglomerates sizes on the burning rate, pressure and acceleration. The developed method opens new prospects for theoretical research of metal agglomeration process in CSP combustion. It allows to obtain fundamental understanding of regularities of the processes and to develop methods of agglomeration parameters regulation.
