During building design, the acoustical studies are often not be considered because of the absence of pertinent tools allowing consider the effects of acoustical nuisance, particularly in the early design stages. Our goal isn't to carry out sophisticated models, but to put at designer's disposal simple, pertinent and appropriate tools for their problem. Our works consist of analyzing the importance of the acoustical aspects within the design process in relation to other aspects like structural, thermal, etc. We identify the appropriate treatment to perform each design stage in order to valid, from acoustical point of view, the solutions proposed by engineers. For example analysis of building location in the site, plan and eventually the modification can avoid to resort to some coslty solutions. We orient toward expert tools in the early stages where the know-how of the acoustical engineer is important, then when the project is sufficiently described, traditional techniques proposed by technical centers such CSTB, QUALITEL, are used and finally we perform frequential analysis. The validation of this research is carried out in integrating the acoustical aspects into multitechnical CAD system for building design "CONCEPTOR".
