Abstract
A possibility of a simultaneous amplification of short and long pulses in the e-beam-pumped KrF-amplifiers is considered. The calculations of amplification of short pulses in the cascades of KrF-amplifiers on molecular transitions KrF*, and Kr2F* have been performed. A feasibility of the energy scaling and using of KrF -laser as the driver in a concept of IFE with shock ignition is discussed.
