Abstract
We have studied phonon hole burning phenomenon. According to the plastic deformation model proposed by us, some characteristics of holes depend on the amplitude of resonant oscillation exited and the crystal condition of specimen. We studied the effect of heat treatment for the particles on holes. In NH4H2PO4 specimen, the increase of decay time for oscillation and larger holes were found. No definite change was detected in the decay time or the shape of holes in LiNbO3 or KH2PO4. The shapes of holes and the positions of the hole peak in the NH4H2PO4 and LiNbO3 powders were found to be different from each other. This result suggested that dislocations as plastic deformation were concerned with hole formation.
