Organic compounds measured with infrared (3.39 µm) photoacoustics

Abstract
A variety of carboxylic acids, alcohols and alkanes were studied using photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) with an excitation wavelength of 3.39 µm. The analytical potential of this method was estimated with different organic compounds dissolved in chloroform. A detection limit of 0.25% with a signal to noise ratio of 6 was achieved.
