Study of laser sensitivity of nonel tube

Abstract
A new method based on Bruceton method to indicate the laser initiation sensitivity of nonel tube is introduced. Nonel tube is a plastic empty tube with mixed explosive in it and can be used in space flight engineering and explosion engineering as a detonation transfer element. The determination principle was described and the instrument system were set up. The determination system is composed of a set of pulsed laser generator and an instrument to determine the laser energy. When laser act to the explosive charged in nonel tube, we can know if the nonel tube detonated and how much the laser energy is. The data were processed by Bruceton method and the laser initiation sensitivity of nonel tube can be initiated by 50% responsive point of the detonation of nonel tube to initiation energy(E 0.50). Three types of nonel tube were determined at the experimental condition, their E 0.50 were 185.8mJ, 135.5mJ and more than 400 mJ.
