Polarized exciton magnetoluminescence under resonance excitation of GaAs/AlAs type II superlattices

Abstract
The theory for the exciton magnetoluminescence in GaAs/AlAs superlattices is presented. We find the energies of the exciton states, taking into account an additional exchange splitting, caused by the symmetry reduction from D2d to C2v.We show that measurements of the luminescence polarization allow to choose between the alternative models of this splitting.
